Amankulov Shaarbek Saparbekovich



Ceramicist, sculptor, and representative of conceptual art. Born on September 26, 1959, in Frunze. In 1980, he graduated from the Frunze Art College, specializing in artistic ceramics, and in 1989 - from the Kyrgyz National University. He interned at the "House of Creativity of Artists of the USSR" in Dzintari (Latvia), the "Berkshire Artists Colony" in Austerlitz, "Artist in Residence" in Krems (Austria), the "Summer Academy in Valsey" (Austria), and the "Vermont Studio Center" in the USA.

Since 1991, he has been a member of the Union of Artists of the Kyrgyz Republic.

The artist's work conceals meanings and coded symbols of the world, embodied in original plastic forms.

Participant in national and international exhibitions and symposiums. His works are held in the Kyrgyz National Museum of Fine Arts named after G. Aitiev, the State Museum of the Peoples of the East (Moscow), the State Museum of Münster (Germany), and in private collections abroad.

Awarded a Gold Medal for alternative work at the International Ceramics Exhibition in Croatia.
