Sydykov Bazarbek Kimbildievich


Sculptor. Born on June 27, 1953, in the village of Leninpol, Talas region. In 1976, he graduated from Frunze Art College, and in 1982 - from the Tashkent State Institute of Theatre and Art named after NA. Ostrovsky.

From 1976 to 1977, he worked at vocational school No. 26 in the Osh region as a master of production training; from 1982 to 1984 - at the Artistic Fund of the Kyrgyz SSR as a sculptor; from 1984 to 1997 - at the S.A. Chuykov Art College as a teacher of special disciplines.

In 1988, he improved his qualifications at the I.E. Repin Institute of Painting, Sculpture and Architecture of the USSR Academy of Arts, specializing in drawing and sculpture. Since 1997, he has been an associate professor at the Kyrgyz State Pedagogical University named after I. Arabayev.

Since 1991, he has been a member of the Union of Artists of the Kyrgyz Republic.

Sydykov is characterized by a developed sense of form. Many of his monumental works adorn the squares and streets of Kyrgyzstan and Kazakhstan.

His best works are located in the Kyrgyz National Museum of Fine Arts named after G. Aitiev, in private galleries in neighboring and far-abroad countries. The series "Burkutchu" and "Temirlan" have been acquired by the presidential apparatus for foreign state officials.
