ZAGRUZNY Anatoly Vasilyevich
Architect. Born in 1954 in the city of Nikolaevsk-on-Amur, RSFSR.
In 1976, he graduated from the architectural faculty of the Frunze Polytechnic Institute. He works as the chief architect of the Sverdlovsk district of the city of Frunze.
From 1976 to 1980, he worked as an architect at the Kyrgyz Mining and Metallurgical Combine, and from 1980 to 1984 — at the "FrunzeGorProject" institute as an architect.
Member of the Union of Architects of the USSR since 1984.
A. Zagrudny is a representative of a group of young architects who successfully work in the field of exploratory architecture, combining this activity with real design practice. "Museum of Sculpture," "Touring Theater," "Housing of the Future" — an incomplete list of themes of his works presented at conceptual competitions, which are a product of the complex modern stage in the development of the architectural process in the USSR and Western countries. In these works, the authors attempt to unveil the paths of further architectural development. The titles of the themes are mysterious and suggest multiple meanings of responses, generating a wealth of associations. However, within the strict frameworks of real design, the architect faces much more complex tasks. The peculiarity of the situation lies in the fact that in the conditions of industrial construction, manifesting a truly creative beginning is a super-task, implying continuous improvement of skills, which is based on the understanding that architecture must satisfy not only the life needs of members of our society but also elevate them spiritually.

1977. Reconstruction of the branch of the Kyrgyz State Academic Theater of Opera and Ballet in the village of Sokuluk;
1979. Cafeteria for 200 seats in the town of Kara-Balte (as part of a team); Reconstruction of the auditorium of the sanatorium "Kyrgyz Sea"; 1981. Educational and laboratory building of the Institute for Advanced Training of Engineers of the National Economy (as part of a team);
1982. Hostel of hotel type on the 50th Anniversary of the Kyrgyz SSR Avenue (as part of a team);
1983. Hostel of the cooperative technical school (as part of a team);
1984. Restaurant "Naryn" in the city of Frunze (as part of a team — with participation); 9-story residential building with an integrated grocery store at the intersection of Moscow and Young Guard streets in the city of Frunze (as part of a team).
