CHUBAROV Yuri Anatolyevich
Architect. Born in 1950 in the city of Frunze.
In 1973, he graduated from the architectural faculty of the Frunze Polytechnic Institute with a degree in architecture of residential and public buildings. He works at the "FrunzeGorProject" institute as the chief project architect. Awarded a Certificate of Honor from the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the Kyrgyz SSR and a diploma from the Union of Architects of the USSR. Laureate of the All-Union Review-Competition "Best Construction of 1984."
Member of the Union of Architects of the USSR since 1978.
With the disappearance of the central market, the townspeople entirely devoted their affections and sympathies to the Osh Bazaar. This new building is a tribute not only to an indifferent attitude but to a truly creative collaboration of the author team, in which Yuri Chubarov worked as the chief project architect. The merit of this object lies in its carefully thought-out functional solution, built on a specific ratio of various forms of trade, sensible distribution of transport and pedestrian flows, goods and buyers, as well as in the architectural and artistic uniqueness that evokes associations with an Eastern bazaar.
A deep understanding of the function of the structure, comprehension of the specifics of the construction work, grasping local traditions in architecture and construction, and an in-depth plastic elaboration of the building volumes are the main features that shape the creative identity of Y. Chubarov and are evident in all the buildings completed with his participation.
