Snychkov Yuri Ivanovich
Architect. Born in 1948 in the city of Frunze.
In 1971, he graduated from the architectural and construction faculty of the Frunze Polytechnic Institute. He worked as the chief project architect at the "FrunzeGorProject" institute. Awarded a silver medal at the VDNH of the USSR for achievements in the development of the national economy of the USSR. At the 5th All-Union Review of Creative Achievements of Soviet Architecture in 1981, he received a diploma from the Union of Architects of the USSR.
Member of the Union of Architects of the USSR since 1979.
One of the successful early works of Yu. Snychkov is the building of the district committee of the party and the district executive committee of the Sverdlovsk district in the city of Frunze. A strict four-story parallelepiped with an asymmetrical, meticulously designed entrance. The wall of the main facade is rhythmically divided by a metric series of pilasters, into which colorful spots of stemalite are successfully integrated; deep inside is a comfortable conference hall with a foyer and buffet, complicating the volumetric-spatial characteristics of the building. All of this works to reveal the image. Then came the building of the district committee of the party and the district executive committee of the Oktyabrsky district in the city of Frunze and a large project for designing the residential environment of the capital — its districts and microdistricts.
In Yu. Snychkov's projects, there is a sense of completeness, which is based on a deep understanding of the unity of the inner and outer worlds in architecture.
