KARIKH Yuri Petrovich
Architect. Born in 1929 in the city of Tokmak, Kyrgyz SSR.
In 1950, he graduated from the construction department of the industrial technical school in Frunze, and in 1957 — from the Moscow Architectural Institute. He began his creative activity at the GPPI institute "Kyrgyzgiprostroy". He mainly worked in organizations in the city of Frunze.
From 1960 to 1964, he traveled to the city of Sochi for work. He held positions as the chief architect of the workshop, chief architect of the "Frunzegorproject" institute,
Since 1976, he has been working as an architect at the Art Fund of the Kyrgyz SSR.
Y. P. Karikh is one of the leading architects of the older generation, who played a significant role in the formation of modern architecture in Kyrgyzstan in the 60s and 70s, actively participating in the formation of a creative team of architects and the establishment of the first specialized design organization "Frunzegorproject", created for the design of the capital's development. Y.P. Karikh was the first director and chief architect of this institute.
Member of the Union of Architects of the USSR since 1958.

1976. House of Household Services in the city of Frunze (as part of a team — author of the layout).

1963. Standard projects of dormitory buildings for recreation institutions (co-authored); Palmarium and greenhouse in the city of Sochi.

1959. Republican competition. Mausoleum of Toktogul (encouragement prize);
