SYDYKBEKOV Sabyrbek Tugelbaevich
Architect. Born in 1947 in the city of Frunze.
In 1970, he graduated from the Leningrad Engineering and Construction Institute. He worked as an architect at the design institute "Kyrgyzgiprostroy."
From 1973 to 1978, he worked as a lecturer in the "Architectural Design" department at the Frunze Polytechnic Institute.
From 1978 to 1980, he was a senior researcher, and from 1980 to 1981, he served as acting head of the comprehensive scientific research department "TashZNIIP" for urban planning and architecture in the city of Frunze.
From 1981 to 1984, he was the acting head of the urban planning and architecture department of the NIISA of the State Construction Committee of the Kyrgyz SSR.
Since 1984, he has been working as a senior researcher at laboratory No. 4 "Architecture and Construction Economics" of the NIISA of the State Construction Committee of the Kyrgyz SSR.
Member of the Union of Architects of the USSR since 1973.
The creativity of architect S. Sydykbekov is characterized by adherence to the principles of regionalism and contextualism. This is clearly manifested in the architecture of the regional drama theater in the city of Naryn, the improvement of the square near the Central Department Store in the city of Frunze, and others. These same principles were reflected in the competition project for the International Information Center "TET-DEFENSE" in Paris (1983) and in the Exhibition and Cultural Complex of the Kyrgyz SSR at the XII World Festival of Youth and Students in Moscow in 1985.
