
Poet E. Ibraev was born on March 16, 1934, in the village of Chet-Nura, Tian-Shan district of Naryn region, in a peasant family.
In 1952, he graduated from Naryn Pedagogical School, and in 1961, he graduated from the journalism department of the Philological Faculty of KSU.
He began his labor biography in 1952 as a senior pioneer leader at Kalinin Secondary School in Kochkor district. In the same year, he was appointed head of the department of the Kochkor District Committee of the Komsomol of Kyrgyzstan, and in 1954, he became head of the department of the Tian-Shan District Committee of the Komsomol of Kyrgyzstan.
From 1961 to 1966, he worked as a literary employee at the magazine "Chalkan," from 1966 to 1973 he was a senior literary employee, from 1973 to 1975 he was head of the department, from 1975 to 1977 he was the responsible secretary, from 1977 to 1984 he was the deputy editor-in-chief, and from 1984 to 1986 he was the editor-in-chief of this magazine.
Since 1986, he has been a literary employee of the children's magazine "Baichchekey."
He has been published since 1954. His first poetry collection "Bebvgum" ("My Little Brother") was published in 1964. It was published in Russian, and some poems have been published in Poland and the GDR.
He has been a member of the Communist Party of the Soviet Union since 1968, a member of the Union of Writers of the USSR since 1970, and a member of the Union of Journalists of the USSR since 1962.
He has been awarded certificates of honor from the Supreme Soviet of the Kyrgyz SSR and honorary certificates from the Central Committee of the Komsomol.
