
Poet and translator B. Alybaev was born on July 1, 1937, in the village of Kopure-Bazar, Talas district, Talas region, in a peasant family.
In 1956, he graduated from high school in the village of Bazar-Kurgan (Osh region), and in 1961, he graduated from the philological faculty of KSU. Since 1961, he worked as an operator at KirTAG, from 1965 as a senior editor at the republican INTI, from 1969 as a senior editor at the publishing house "Kyrgyzstan," from 1983 as a senior editor at the scientific-methodological center of the Ministry of Culture of the Kyrgyz SSR, and since 1986 as a literary employee at the magazine "Ekran" of the State Cinema of the Kyrgyz SSR.
He began his creative biography as a poet in 1953. His first poetry collection "Ak chardak" ("Seagull") was published in 1968. He translated the novel "The Fate of Adili" by A. Gasyimov from Azerbaijani, poems by Tajik poet A. Dehoti, and participated in translating the works of Vietnamese poets into Kyrgyz.
He has been a member of the Communist Party of the Soviet Union since 1966 and a member of the Union of Soviet Writers since 1975.
