Poet B. Asanaliev was born in the village of Chet-Nuru in the Tian-Shan district of the Naryn region in a peasant family.
In 1967, he graduated from the Toktogul Satylganov Secondary School in Naryn, and in 1963, he graduated from the philological faculty of KGU.
He began his labor biography in 1963 as a teacher at his native school in Naryn, and since 1966, he has worked as an editor at the State Publishing House of the Kyrgyz SSR, later as an editor, and from 1979 as the chief editor of the "Mektep" publishing house.
Since 1986, he has been an employee of the "Kyrgyzkitap" association.
The poet's creative path began in 1958. His first poetry collection "Jaz boyogu" ("Spring Colors") was published in 1967. Some of his works have been translated into Russian and Kazakh. He has translated works by I. S. Turgenev, K. Chukovsky, A. Barto, and others into Kyrgyz.
He has been a member of the Communist Party of the Soviet Union since 1974 and a member of the Union of Soviet Writers since 1975.
