Poet, playwright Kadyrbai Mambetakunov

In 1956, he graduated from Toktogul Satylganov Secondary School in Naryn, and in 1961, he graduated from the philological faculty of KGU.
He began his labor biography as a schoolboy in 1955, working as a broadcaster for Naryn regional broadcasting.
In 1961, he was assigned as a teacher at Toktogul Satylganov Secondary School in Naryn.
In 1965, he was appointed head of the city education department, and in 1967, he became the director of the pedagogical college in Naryn.
From 1971, he worked as an instructor, head of the House of Political Enlightenment, and deputy head of the department of agitation and propaganda of the Naryn regional committee of the Communist Party of Kyrgyzstan.
From 1980 to 1984, he headed the literary department of the Naryn Regional Musical and Dramatic Theater named after M. Ryskulov, and from 1984, he worked in the original artistic literature editorial office, and since 1986, he has been the chief editor of the "Kyrgyzstan" publishing house.
He has been published since 1970. His first poetry collection "Shoola" ("Ray") was published in 1971. He created the plays "The Love of Omar Khayyam" (1980), "Ukey" (1980), and "The Poet and Death" (1987). The playwright's dramatic works were published under the title "Omar Khayyam's Love" in 1986. He translated A. Mudrik's book "On the Education of High School Students" into Kyrgyz.
A member of the CPSU since 1965, a member of the USSR Union of Writers since 1980.
Awarded the medal "For Valorous Labor. In Commemoration of the 100th Anniversary of the Birth of V. I. Lenin."
Elected as a deputy of the Naryn City Council of People's Deputies, a member of the Naryn regional and city committees of the Communist Party of Kyrgyzstan, and chairman of the Naryn City Committee of the trade union of education workers.
