Dramatist, literary scholar, poet, translator Myrzabek Toybaev Dramatist, literary scholar, poet, translator M. Toybaev was born on January 25, 1935, in the village of Taldy-Bulak, Chui region of the Kyrgyz SSR, in a peasant family. In 1952, he graduated from Alchalin Secondary School, and in 1958, he graduated from the philological faculty of KGU.

From 1966 to 1970, he studied in graduate school at the Institute of Language and Literature of the Academy of Sciences of the Kyrgyz SSR. He earned a Candidate of Philological Sciences degree in 1970.

He began his career in 1958 as the responsible editor of the Committee of State Television and Radio of the Kyrgyz SSR.

Since 1961, he has been the head of the department at the editorial office of the newspaper "Kyrgyzstan Pioneri," and since 1985, he has been the head of the department at the editorial office of the newspaper "Kyrgyzstan Madaniyaty." From 1968 to 1971, he was the head of the literature and arts department at the Main Editorial Office of the Kyrgyz SSR Academy of Sciences. From 1972 to 1976,

M. Toybaev served as the chief editor of the repertoire editorial board of the Ministry of Culture of the Kyrgyz SSR, and from 1977 to 1979, he was the director of the House of Actors of the Tokmok Theater, and from 1980 to 1985, he was a literary consultant on dramaturgy for the Union of Writers of Kyrgyzstan.

He began his creative career in 1948 as a poet.

Since 1952, he has been engaged in dramaturgy. His first book was a collection of stories and plays titled "Ak Peyil" ("Good Soul"), published in 1963. In 1966, his first poetry collection "Jurgulv, dostor" ("Let's Go, Friends") was published. He is the author of several collections of plays, poems, and monographs dedicated to the problems of the development of Kyrgyz dramaturgy. The works of M. Toybaev have been published in Russian, and some plays have been translated into Uzbek, Kazakh, Tajik, Turkmen, Ukrainian, Yakut, Bashkir, Tatar, and Mongolian languages.

He has translated the plays of A. Abdugafurov into Kyrgyz. He participated in the translation of the collective collection "Young Pen," published in 1968.

He has been a member of the Communist Party of the Soviet Union since 1963, a member of the Union of Writers of the USSR since 1967, and a member of the Union of Journalists of the USSR since 1965. He has been awarded Honorary Certificates from the Central Committee of the Komsomol and the Central Committee of the Komsomol of Kyrgyzstan.
