Poet Musa Djangaziev
Poet M. Djangaziev was born in the village of Karasakal in the Sokuluk district of the Kyrgyz SSR into a peasant family.
From 1929, he was raised in the N. Krupskaya orphanage in Frunze, and in 1935 he was transferred to the Gulchin orphanage in the Osh region, where he studied in high school until 1940. From 1954 to 1956, he was a student at the VLK under the Council of Ministers of the USSR in Moscow.
Since 1941, he has worked as the first secretary of the Gulchin district committee of the Komsomol of Kyrgyzstan, and from 1943, he served as the secretary of the Osh regional committee of the Komsomol of Kyrgyzstan.
In 1948, he was appointed editor of the newspaper "Kyrgyzstan Pioneri," in 1952 and 1956 he was the chief editor of the magazine "Zhas Leninchi," in 1961 he became the chief editor of the magazine "Ala-Too," and in 1967 he was appointed chief editor of the newspaper "Kyrgyzstan Madaniyaty."
In 1966, he was elected secretary of the board of the Union of Writers of Kyrgyzstan, and from 1985 to 1986, he worked as the director of the "Arashan" Creative House.
His first poetry collection "Balalyk" ("Childhood") was published in 1950. He is the author of more than one hundred poetry collections, over twenty of which have been published in Russian, released by various publishing houses of the fraternal republics.
For his book of selected works "Baldar menin emurum" ("Children— My Life"), the poet was awarded the Lenin Komsomol Prize of the republic (1972).
He has been a member of the CPSU since 1941 and a member of the Union of Writers of the USSR since 1951.

He has been awarded the Order of the Red Banner of Labor, two Orders of the Badge of Honor, many medals of the USSR, 14 times the Honorary Diploma of the Supreme Soviet of the Kyrgyz SSR, the Honorary Diploma of the Ukrainian SSR, and repeatedly received Honorary Diplomas from the Central Committee of the VLKSM, the Central Committee of the Komsomol of Kyrgyzstan, and certificates from the Peace Committee and the Peace Fund.
He is an Excellent Worker of Public Education of the Kyrgyz SSR.
He is an Excellent Worker of the Press of the USSR.
He is an Excellent Worker of Pioneer and Komsomol Work.
He was elected as a deputy of the Frunze City Council of People's Deputies and a member of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Kyrgyzstan.
