The Poet Yasir Shivaza

Since 1930, he worked as the director of a Dungan primary school in Frunze, from 1931 to 1938 he was an editor, from 1951 to 1957 he served as the chief editor of Kyrgosizdat, from 1938 to 1942 he was a literary consultant, and from 1946 to 1954 he was the secretary of the board of the Union of Writers of Kyrgyzstan. From 1942 to 1946, he served in the ranks of the Soviet Army, and from 1950 to 1951, he was a correspondent for "Literaturnaya Gazeta" in Kyrgyzstan. From 1957 to 1965, he was the editor of the inter-republican Dungan newspaper "Shiyuedi Chi".
Y. Shivaza's literary activity began in 1930. He is the founder of Dungan Soviet literature, one of the creators of Dungan writing and orthography, and the author of many textbooks on the Dungan language and literature. The poet's first book was a collection of poems titled "Morning Star," published in 1931. This is the first printed book in the history of the Dungan people. He is the author of more than 30 books: collections of poems and epics, short stories, novellas in Dungan, Kyrgyz, and Russian languages, as well as translations of classics of Russian and Soviet literature, and works by Kyrgyz writers and poets into Dungan. The poet's works have also been translated into other languages of the peoples of the USSR, with some published abroad.

Member of the CPSU since 1940, member of the Union of Writers of the USSR since 1934.
Awarded the Orders of the Red Banner of Labor, Friendship of Peoples, three Orders of the Badge of Honor, numerous medals from the country, and letters of commendation from the Supreme Soviet of the Kyrgyz SSR.
Elected as a candidate member of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Kyrgyzstan, a member of the Frunze Regional Committee of the Communist Party of Kyrgyzstan, and a deputy of the Frunze Regional and City Councils of People's Deputies.
