
Poet T. Arykov was born on May 3, 1937, in the village of Kosh-Dyube, Moscow District, Kyrgyz SSR, in a peasant family.
In 1953, he graduated from Kosh-Dyube Seven-Year School, in 1957 from the Zootechnical Faculty of Frunze Agricultural Technical School, and in 1963 from the Philological Faculty of KSU. He began his labor biography as a literary staff member of the district newspaper "Emgek danky."
Since 1963, he has worked as an editor at the "Kyrgyzstan" publishing house, and since 1983, he has been an authorized representative of the Bureau for the Promotion of Fiction in the Writers' Union of Kyrgyzstan.
He has been engaged in poetic creativity since 1953.
His first poetry collection "Zhashtyk kunderu" ("Days of Youth") was published in 1964.
He has been a member of the USSR Writers' Union since 1970.
He has been awarded two Certificates of the Supreme Council of the Kyrgyz SSR.
