Poet Satybaldy Kadyrov

Poet Satybaldy KadyrovPoet S. Kadyrov was born on March 15, 1942, in the village of Nichke, Uzgen district, Osh region, in a peasant family. In 1959, he graduated from high school, in 1961— from the Jalal-Abad Pedagogical School named after A. S. Pushkin, and in 1970— from the correspondence department of the philological faculty of KGU.
He began his career as a primary school teacher at the V. I. Lenin High School in the Janay-Dzhol district.
Since 1967, he worked as a high school teacher in the Uzgen district, then as a literary employee at the district newspaper "Oktyabr tuusu," editor of the Osh regional committee for television and radio broadcasting, and a lecturer at the Osh Pedagogical Institute.
Since 1985, he has been a consultant for the Osh branch of the Union of Writers of Kyrgyzstan.
He has been published since 1970. His first collection of satirical poems "Tikenek" ("Thorn") was published in 1979.
He has been a member of the USSR Union of Writers since 1985.
He was awarded the medal "20 Years of Victory in the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945."
