LYZENKO Vladimir Vasilyevich

Architect. Laureate of the Lenin Komsomol Prize of the Kyrgyz SSR. Honored Architect of the Kyrgyz SSR. Born in 1934 in the city of Pervomaisk, Voroshilovgrad region of the Ukrainian SSR.
In 1960, he graduated from the Kyiv Engineering and Construction Institute with a degree in architecture.
Member of the Union of Architects of the USSR since 1961.
After graduating from the institute, V. Lyzenko moved to Kyrgyzstan. His first major independent work at the "Kyrgyzgiprostroy" institute was the design of a hotel with a dining room for 300 seats at the rest house of the Council of Ministers of the Kyrgyz SSR, completed in 1964. In the late 1960s, a club for 600 seats for the woolen and cloth combine was built on Lenin Avenue in the city of Frunze according to Lyzenko's design, reflecting the significant changes occurring in Soviet architecture at that time. During this period, he actively participated in several competitions of republican, union, and international significance. Among them were the competition for a national theater in Budapest, the residential area of Petrzalka in Bratislava, the Monument to Soviet-Arab Friendship, and others. In the 1960s, V. Lyzenko played an active role in shaping the southeastern residential area of the capital, where microdistricts 7 and 8 were built according to his designs.
In 1972, Lyzenko moved to the newly established institute for the development of the capital, "FrunzeGorProject," where he headed the urban planning workshop. The main task of this workshop was to create a detailed planning project for the central part of the city of Frunze and to provide similar projects for other parts of the city.
An inseparable connection with life, a sense of time, adherence to the strict conditions set by design and construction practices, and a deep understanding of modern urban planning processes led to the creation of qualitatively new planning solutions. First, all territories were organized, clearly distinguishing residential, public, and industrial zones; second, due to a new volumetric-spatial composition, the center acquired a modern qualitative sound. A significant part of the overall search for the architecture of the center included works on the creation of the central square of the capital named after V. I. Lenin and the square named after the 40th anniversary of Victory with the Victory Monument.
All his works are united by a desire to find a bright expressive appearance, organically connected with the environment, a sense of the new in structures and building materials, and a striving for maximum disclosure of their internal properties and possibilities.
Awarded a Certificate of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the Kyrgyz SSR, an Honorary Certificate of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the Kyrgyz SSR, an Honorary Certificate of the Central Committee of the Komsomol of Kyrgyzstan, a diploma from the Union of Architects at the exhibition of young creativity, a gold medal from the VDNH of the USSR, and a Medal from the Union of Architects of the USSR.
