UMAMBEKOV Bektursun Kanimetovich
Architect. Member of the Communist Party of the Soviet Union since 1980. Laureate of the State Prize of the Kyrgyz SSR named after Toktogul.
Born in 1939 in the village of Mikhailovka, Tyup District, Issyk-Kul Region of the Kyrgyz SSR.
In 1968, he graduated from the architectural faculty of the Tashkent Polytechnic Institute.
From 1959 to 1960, he was a cadet at a military school, and until 1962, he worked as a laborer. After completing his studies, he worked at the State Project Institute "Kyrgyzgiprostroy."
From 1972 to 1973, he was the chief architect of the Issyk-Kul District in the Issyk-Kul Region.
Since 1973, he has been the head of construction and architecture affairs of the Osh Regional Executive Committee, and in 1984, of the Issyk-Kul Regional Executive Committee.
Since 1985, he has been the head of the production department of the trust "Issyk-Kulstroy."
Member of the Union of Architects of the USSR since 1971.
MAIN CONSTRUCTIONS
1976. Development of the Toktogul settlement in the Talas Region (as part of a team);
1972—1985. Small architectural forms, landscaping, visual propaganda in the cities of Cholpon-Ata, Osh, and Przhevalsk.
MAIN PROJECTS
1968. Development of the recreation area in the Yubchik region of Frunze (as part of a team);
1970. Development of a summer holiday village in the village of Dolinka on Issyk-Kul;
1974. Detailed planning project for the western part of the "Bosteri" resort (as part of a team);
1976. Sanatorium "Golden Sands" on Lake Issyk-Kul (as part of a team).
COMPETITION WORKS
1969. All-Union closed competition. Development of the center of Frunze (as part of a team, II prize).
