KALINOV Nikolai Nikolaevich
Architect. Born in 1955 in the city of Frunze. Graduated from the architectural faculty of the Frunze Polytechnic Institute.
After completing his studies, he worked from 1977 at the State Design Institute "Kyrgyzgiprostroy" as the head of the architectural group in the design workshop for resort and sanatorium institutions.
Since 1984, he has been the chief architect of the Issyk-Kul resort zone at the State Construction Committee of the Kyrgyz SSR.
A significant portion of N. Kalinov's creative portfolio consists of projects for recreational institutions in the resort area of Lake Issyk-Kul. While creating health resorts, he pays special attention to both the architecture of the buildings themselves and the design of the surrounding environment.
In recent years, N. Kalinov, together with architects V. Ivanov and R. Asylbekov, has completed projects for the building of the Talas Regional Committee of the Communist Party of Kyrgyzstan and the hotel of the Council of Ministers of the Kyrgyz SSR. Both of these buildings are characterized by deep plastic development of the facades with exquisite solutions for the interior spaces.
