Katz Grigory Lipovich
Architect. Born in 1948 in the city of Frunze.
In 1968, he graduated from the Frunze Art School, and in 1973 — from the architectural and construction faculty of the Frunze Polytechnic Institute. He worked in the workshops of the institute "FrunzeGorProject," and then, starting in 1977, he taught at the Department of "Fundamentals of Architectural Design" at the Frunze Polytechnic Institute.
Since 1980, he has been working at the Artistic Fund of the Kyrgyz SSR.
Member of the Union of Architects of the USSR since 1981.
G. Katz is inclined towards the sculpturality of architectural forms. In a number of works completed recently ("Triumphal Monument," "Fountain Sculpture," "Tower of the Festival Complex," etc.), through the interpretation of architectural archaic techniques, he offers artistic solutions at a new qualitative level, characterized by modern monumentality and sculpturality.
