GRESLE Vasily Ivanovich
Architect.
Born in 1950 in the city of Shchuchinsk, Kazakh SSR.
In 1973, he graduated from the architectural and construction faculty of the Frunze Polytechnic Institute. He worked at the "FrunzeGorProject" institute as the chief project architect in the general plan workshop. Member of the group of prospective problems of the Union of Architects of the USSR.
Member of the Union of Architects of the USSR since 1979.
V. I. Gresle's first creative attempts are in volumetric design. A particular interest is represented by the project of a production building for the "FrunzeGorProject" institute. The proposed design solution has many compositional merits. Here, first of all, there is clarity of the main architectural idea, then — the integrity of the architectural organism, proportionality and organicity of the relationships of all parts, thoroughness in detail development, and urban planning justification. Gaining compositional experience in designing individual buildings, V. Gresle successfully works in the field of urban planning, participating in the creation of public-trade center squares, microdistricts, and residential areas. The realization that an architect today must primarily be a citizen shapes his active creative and civic position.
