KOMBARBAEV Ibraim Kasymzhanovich

Architect, born in 1951 in the city of Frunze.
In 1974, he graduated from the architectural faculty of the Frunze Polytechnic Institute.
From 1974 to 1979, he worked as a district architect, head of the planning and construction department of the Main Architectural and Planning Office of the Frunze City Executive Committee. He led a workshop at the institute "FrunzeGorProject." He was awarded a Certificate of Honor from the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the Kyrgyz SSR.
Member of the Union of Architects of the USSR since 1979.
Ibraim Kombarbaev is an active creative personality. He is a laureate of several republican competitions and was awarded a diploma from the Union of Architects of the USSR for the "Best Project of the Year" in 1983, the highest award of the Union of Architects of the USSR — a medal for the project of an 18-story monolithic residential building in the city of Frunze (1984). He works extensively on housing for the city of Frunze, participating in the implementation of the detailed planning project for the center of the republic's capital and other areas. It is difficult to be original in such a well-studied field as housing; however, the project solutions implemented under his guidance are extraordinary. The deep plasticity of the facades, complex ornamental solutions, and associations with national motifs give his buildings a unique appearance. He has invested considerable effort and energy into shaping Lenin Square, where, together with his colleagues, he achieved an unusual integrity and completeness of the ensemble.
