
SHUMAKOVA Galina Konstantinovna
Architect. Born in 1950 in the city of Frunze, Kyrgyz SSR.
In 1972, she graduated from the architectural and construction faculty of the Frunze Polytechnic Institute.
From 1972 to 1978, she worked at the "Kyrgyzgiprostroy" institute as the head of the urban planning workshop, and in 1979 — in the comprehensive department of TashZNIIP in the city of Frunze as a senior researcher.
Since 1980, she has been working at the State Construction Committee of the Kyrgyz SSR as a leading architect in the urban planning and architecture department.
Member of the Union of Architects of the USSR since 1978.
From the beginning of her career at the GPI "Kyrgyzgiprostroy," she participated in the development of a microdistrict in the city of Tokmak, worked on the general plans for the district center of Lenin-Jol, the city of Cholpon-Ata, and others.
Her deep mastery of the fundamentals of urban planning allowed her to later participate in the creation of the project for the reconstruction and expansion of the "Golden Sands" boarding house.
Her constant demanding attitude towards work, a deep thoughtful approach to any design task, and extensive research analysis at the pre-project stage enabled her to further participate in comprehensive work analyzing the living environment in the cities of the Kyrgyz SSR. The result of this document was the development of recommendations for improving the architecture and aesthetic qualities of urban development in the cities of Kyrgyzstan.

Research work on the topic: "Analysis of architectural and planning solutions for residential formations, qualitative characteristics of the architecture of residential and public buildings with the development of recommendations for improving the architectural and aesthetic qualities of urban development in the cities of the Kyrgyz SSR" (as part of a team).
