KARPENKO Nina Vasilievna

Architect. Honored Architect of the Kyrgyz SSR. Born in 1934 in the city of Cherepovets, RSFSR.
In 1957, she graduated from the architectural faculty of the Leningrad Engineering and Construction Institute with a degree in architecture.
Since 1957 to the present, she has been working in the urban planning workshop of the State Design Institute "Kyrgyzgiprostroy." Her last position was Chief Project Architect - Head of the Urban Planning Workshop.
She was awarded the jubilee medal "For Valorous Labor. In Commemoration of the 100th Anniversary of the Birth of V. I. Lenin."
The entire life and creative work of N. V. Karpenko are inextricably linked to and inseparable from the development of urban planning in the republic. Her design and planning activities in creating master plans cover a wide range of issues. Relying on progressive methods of modern urban planning science, she incorporates advanced principles of forming and developing architectural and planning structures, organizing residential development, transportation systems, and preserving historical heritage in her projects for cities and settlements. In all her proposals, she strives for a harmonious combination of living conditions with the beauty of the urban ensemble.
Member of the Union of Architects of the USSR since 1961.
