Illuminated pedestrian crossings have appeared in Balakchy, reported the press service of the city mayor's office.

According to them, three illuminated crossings have been installed so far.

"Lighting fixtures at pedestrian crossings began to be installed at the end of last week as part of the "Zharik Shaar" ("Bright City") program funded by the Development Fund of the Issyk-Kul region for the safety of pedestrians," the mayor's office said.

As explained by the press service, the municipality plans to install such lighting fixtures at "zebras" along the entire central highway.
