The Bishkek City Hall and K-water Company Signed a Memorandum on Reducing Carbon Emissions

Negotiations were held in the municipality with a delegation from a South Korean corporation




In the meeting hall of the Bishkek municipality, a meeting took place between the mayor of the city, Aibek Junushaliev, and representatives of the South Korean company K-water, headed by Vice President Mr. Han Song Yeon.

According to information from the press service of the mayor's office, the meeting discussed the details of implementing a joint project aimed at reducing greenhouse gas emissions and improving urban ecology in Bishkek. The project includes the replacement of energy resources, the installation of modern water supply systems, the use of biogas, as well as the introduction of technologies to prevent gas leaks and other measures for urban environment regeneration.

As a result of the negotiations, a memorandum of understanding and cooperation was signed between the Bishkek mayor's office and the Korean Water Resources Corporation. This document pertains to the implementation of a project for the renovation of the city and the reduction of carbon emissions.

The memorandum outlines a set of measures aimed at reducing the carbon footprint, including the transition to environmentally friendly fuel sources, the installation of systems for supplying drinking water, extracting biogas from treatment facilities, and implementing technologies for detecting and preventing leaks in gas pipelines.
