Mayor Aibek Junushaliev and the Minister of Natural Resources, Ecology, and Technical Supervision of the Kyrgyz Republic, Meder Mashiev, planted saplings at School No. 12 in the Sverdlovsk District, as reported by the city hall.

Junushaliev noted that the city authorities are actively working to increase the green fund.

“We often receive complaints about tree cutting, but this concerns dry and sick plants. We replace them by planting ten or more young trees. Our goal is to maintain the status of a city with green spaces,” he emphasized.

According to city hall data, new green plantings were also made at the intersection of Chuy Avenue and Kurmanjan Datka Street. These plantings are part of the “Zhashyl Muras” project and the Eco Council-2025 decisions, with a focus on school territories.

In total, 10,000 saplings are planned to be planted in Bishkek, and work continues in various districts of the city.
