The series of stamps was presented on October 16 in Bishkek during an event dedicated to World Food Day. The stamp cancellation ceremony was attended by Oleg Guchgeldiev, FAO representative in Kyrgyzstan, and Uulzhan Masiyaanova, Deputy General Director of OJSC "Kyrgyz Post".
“This special edition of postage stamps is not only a tribute to the 80-year history of FAO in the fight against hunger but also a wonderful way to highlight the deep connection between cultural heritage, agriculture, and sustainable development in Kyrgyzstan,” noted Oleg Guchgeldiev. “The names Telegey, Bereke, and Bakyt symbolize our shared wishes for prosperity, abundance, and happiness for every family in Kyrgyzstan. We are pleased that through this art we can convey our values.”
FAO celebrated its 80th anniversary on October 16, 2025, focusing on eradicating hunger, transforming agri-food systems, and promoting sustainable development in rural areas.
The release of the postage stamps was one of many events dedicated to the FAO anniversary taking place in Kyrgyzstan throughout the year.
“It is a great honor for us to participate in this significant international project,” emphasized Uulzhan Masiyaanova. “Creating stamps dedicated to the 80th anniversary of FAO gives us the opportunity not only to support the philatelic movement in the country but also to showcase the uniqueness and beauty of Kyrgyzstan to the world. We are confident that this series will take its rightful place in the collections of philatelists around the globe.”
The postage stamps will be available at "Kyrgyz Post" offices across the country, as well as on major electronic platforms for collectors.
