In memory of the historical date of October 9, 1874, the day of the creation of the Universal Postal Union, the postal community worldwide annually holds the "International Letter Writing Week."
This year, the "International Letter Writing Week" will be held from October 6 to October 12, 2014. As part of the "International Letter Writing Week," branches of the State Enterprise "Kyrgyz Post" will organize lectures and presentations with information about the role of the post and the activities of SE "Kyrgyz Post" by visiting schools, organizations, and enterprises. There will also be sales of envelopes, postcards, newspapers, and magazines, acceptance of postal items in schools and public places, and an "Open House Day" for the public to visit post offices.
