
From November 4 to 6, the International Organic Forum 2014 "Experience of the Organic Movement in the Kyrgyz Republic and Issues of Cooperation among Countries in the IFOAM Eurasia Network" will take place in Bishkek. Representatives of the organic movement from eleven countries are expected to participate. As part of the Forum, the traditional exhibition-fair of organic products produced in Kyrgyzstan will be held.
The Forum consists of two parallel blocks:
1) The exhibition-fair will take place over three days, from November 4 to 6, 2014, from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM at the exhibition pavilion of the K. Kozhomkul Sports Palace in Bishkek. Admission is free for all interested.
2) The conference within the forum will be held over two days, on November 5 and 6, 2014, from 9:30 AM to 4:00 PM in the large hall of the A. Maldybaev Opera and Ballet Theater (the event program is attached, the list of participants is being coordinated).
The organizer of the Forum and the exhibition-fair is the Federation of the Organic Movement "Bio-KG" with the support of the IKKO Foundation Branch, the German Society for International Cooperation (GIZ), HELVETAS Swiss Intercooperation, the Christensen Fund, the Mountain Partnership Organization, the Aga Khan Foundation, and other organizations.
Within the framework of the International Organic Forum 2014 "Experience of the Organic Movement in the Kyrgyz Republic and Issues of Cooperation among Countries in the IFOAM Eurasia Network," local and foreign experts, representatives of government agencies, international and donor organizations will discuss pressing issues of ecology, green economy, effective use of natural resources, agricultural product export issues, and more.
