Japanese song dedicated to Kyrgyzstan
A Japanese song in the traditional Japanese genre of "enka," titled "Wanderer of the Wind," was performed by the famous Japanese singer Mita Ryo at Ala-Too Square on the Independence Day of the Kyrgyz Republic. It resonated with the hearts of Kyrgyzstanis, who were captivated by his beautiful and deeply moving voice, charm, and sincerity of performance.
The song was created by one of Japan's most renowned composers, Mr. Gen Tetsuya, and is dedicated to the friendship between the two nations. The song tells the story of a Japanese wanderer's love for a Kyrgyz girl he met on his life's journey, as well as the pain of separation. It symbolizes mutual sympathy, friendship, and genuine interest between the peoples of Kyrgyzstan and Japan and their kinship.
In this song, the singer sees a parallel (a connection) with the legend (which both Kyrgyz and Japanese love to mention) about the common roots of the Kyrgyz and Japanese peoples, which states that "the people who loved to eat fish went east and became the ancestors of the Japanese, while those who loved to eat meat went into the mountains and became Kyrgyz." The singer believes in the truth of this legend, and for some reason, the hero of his song is madly drawn to that native yet different, that close yet distant... Land, People, and Beloved, paths that have diverged but may cross again.....
Mita Ryo is performing his new single, 'Wanderer of the Wind', at Ala-Too Square in Kyrgyzstan on 31st August 2013. He appeared on stage twice that day and this is the special cut of his performances. Mita Ryo was very welcomed and loved by tens of thousands of people, bringing them together with his music at the concert, and he also appeared on many local media afterwards. Thank you for your support!
【Wanderer of the Wind】
Streets of the city are like a desert
So dry, so empty
What for, we struggle
Now I long for my homeland from afar
Oh, drink to our sad goodbye
and the woman lives far away
Can’t settle down in a place
Continue my journey with nobody to lean on
Wanderer of the Wind
What for, I am here
Keep going on a journey exposing myself
When I close my eyes
My heart cries for the stars of Bishkek
Oh, the invisible border
tears us apart
Can’t settle down in a place
Continue my journey that has no turning back
Wanderer of the Wind
Oh, drink to our sad goodbye
and the woman lives far away
Can’t settle down in a place
Continue my journey with nobody to lean on
Wanderer of the Wind
Wanderer of the Wind
