According to the Education Department of the city administration, an award ceremony for the winners of the city military-patriotic song contest "Zhooker Yry," dedicated to the 70th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War, was held at the base of UWC No. 69 in the categories: "Patriotic Song" and "Songs of the War Years."
Students from 50 capital schools participated in the contest.
"Currently, our children know little about the Great Patriotic War, about the heroes, about the feats, about the strength of our people's spirit. We, educators, are obliged to convey to children a piece of the history of the war years so that the connection between generations is not lost, so that we cherish and value peace, so that our children know the price of the Great Victory," the Education Department reported.
The main goal of the contest is the spiritual, moral, civic-patriotic, and artistic-aesthetic education of students based on the best examples of musical and poetic creativity.
