Since October 15, 2014, the Representation of Rossotrudnichestvo, together with the parish of the Church of the Holy Martyr Veniamin (Cholpon-Ata) and the district administration of the Issyk-Kul region, along with educational institutions in the Issyk-Kul region, launched the memory campaign "No one is forgotten and nothing is forgotten," dedicated to the 70th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War. To date, the campaign has covered 3 rural districts.
The relay started in the village of Ananyevo, named after a native of this village, Hero of the Soviet Union Nikolai Yakovlevich Ananyev (1912–1941), one of the Panfilov heroes who bravely defended Moscow in November 1941.
Subsequent events of the relay took place in the villages of Semenovka and Grigorievka. In each village, the events began with bread and salt, and the villagers warmly honored the veterans, wreaths and flowers were laid at the monuments to the fallen soldiers, and musical and theatrical performances prepared by schoolchildren and creative clubs were presented. The events took place in an atmosphere of solemnity and high respect for the veterans, highlighting the role of the unity of peoples in achieving the great Victory.
Veteran soldiers were presented with congratulatory addresses and valuable gifts. For those veterans who were unable to attend the events, congratulations were delivered to their homes.
The memory of the battles and victories of the Great Patriotic War is carefully preserved on the shores of Issyk-Kul. The campaign will continue in all major populated areas of the Issyk-Kul region and will conclude with a regional celebration in the city of Cholpon-Ata.
