In connection with the upcoming tourist season from June 13 to 15, 2014, the Organization of Veterans of War, Labor, Armed Forces, and Law Enforcement Agencies of the Kyrgyz Republic, in collaboration with the Department of Tourism under the Ministry of Culture, Information, and Tourism of the Kyrgyz Republic, is holding the II International Festival "Open Issyk-Kul. Strengthening Peace, Friendship, and Understanding Among Peoples 2014."
The goal of this event is to create an image of the country as a favorable place for recreation, cultural, sports, and business events, and to promote the strengthening of peace, friendship, and understanding among the peoples living in our Republic.
This Festival will not feature standard programs; it will encompass a range of spectacular events on June 14-15:
1. MOTOR SHOW (Semenov Gorge, Issyk-Kul);
2. Figure Driving (airfield of Cholpon-Ata airport);
3. Horse Racing (hippodrome, Bosteri village);
4. Water Skiing and Wakeboarding (waters of Lake Issyk-Kul);
5. Rock Climbing Competitions (Semenov Gorge, Issyk-Kul);
6. Underwater Orientation (waters of Lake Issyk-Kul);
7. Boat Trip (Cholpon-Ata city; boat "Moscow");
Honored guests of the festival include cosmonauts:
From Russia and Kyrgyzstan, Sharipov Salizhan Shakirovich; from Belarus, Novitsky Oleg Viktorovich;
From Kazakhstan, Aubakirov T.O., and from Mongolia, Gurragchaa J., along with other representatives from CSTO countries;
