From July 26 to August 7, a sociocultural caravan "The Art of the Silk Road" will take place in Bishkek, Balykchy, Cholpon-Ata, Karakol, and the village of Bokonbaeva.
"The main goal is to organize a nomadic cultural caravan around Lake Issyk-Kul to interact with the local population and local administration in order to promote visual arts, applied arts, as well as national music and music from various peoples of the world. The educational cultural program of the festival is designed to unite the community into a whole," the organizers reported.
It is noted that an exhibition of student and children's works in painting, graphics, tapestry, felt, workshops on painting and applied arts, demonstrations of collections by young designers, performances by musical and dance groups, screenings of documentary films by young directors from Central Asia, excursions to the attractions of Issyk-Kul, as well as tastings of national dishes and drinks are planned.
