Improving the quality of services in the tourism sector of the Kyrgyz Republic


In order to improve the quality of services provided in the tourism sector, the Department of Tourism under the Ministry of Culture, Information, and Tourism of the Kyrgyz Republic, in collaboration with the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of Turkey, conducted service training for enterprises in the tourism sector of the Kyrgyz Republic with the participation of 6 international-class trainers from the Republic of Turkey.

The training sessions took place from March 3 to March 12, 2015, over a period of 10 days, with 4 hours of training each day. The aforementioned training courses were provided free of charge by the Department of Tourism in the following areas:
1. “Front office” – reception;
2. “Catering” – food supply, meal service;
3. “Housekeeping” – administrative and housekeeping work;
4. “Food production” – kitchen, catering service;
5. “Hotel Management” - training for managers.
At the conclusion of the courses, an official ceremony was held to award International Certificates from the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of the Republic of Turkey and the Council of Cooperation of Turkic-speaking States, the Ministry of Culture, Information, and Tourism of the Kyrgyz Republic, and the Kyrgyz-Turkish University “Manas” to the participants of the aforementioned training sessions. The certificates are valid in the countries of the Council of Cooperation of Turkic-speaking States.
