The Department of Tourism participated in negotiations with the Sverdlovsk Region (Russia) on tourism issues.

On April 3 of this year, a meeting took place in Yekaterinburg (RF) between the Deputy Director of the Department of Tourism M. Usubaliev, the Consul of the General Consulate of the Kyrgyz Republic N. Toktosunova, the Deputy Minister of Economy of the Sverdlovsk Region E. Novotortseva, and the Director of the Tourism Development Center of the Sverdlovsk Region E. Tukanova.

During the meeting, the parties discussed bilateral cooperation in the field of tourism and issues related to increasing mutual tourist flows.

The Kyrgyz side noted the trend of increasing the number of citizens from the Russian Federation to 500,000 people in 2013 and presented information about the upcoming festival "World Nomad Games," which is planned to be held in September 2014 in Cholpon-Ata (Issyk-Kul Region, Kyrgyzstan).
