The tourism community of Naryn region actively participated in the meeting of the Council for Tourism Development.

On February 26, 2014, a regular meeting of the Tourism Development Council was held in the conference hall of the Plenipotentiary Representation of the Government of the Kyrgyz Republic in the Naryn region. More than 70 people attended. The Council was chaired by the Plenipotentiary Representative of the Government of the Kyrgyz Republic in the Naryn region, Amanbay Kayipov.

Unlike the Chui region, the Naryn region demonstrated a keen interest in the development of tourism. Almost all participants of the tourism industry in the Naryn region attended, with both local and national representatives speaking.

DSC03204As a result of the meeting, an action plan for 2014 was adopted, which included several interesting activities, such as:

(i) the installation of a tourist map of the region at the entrances to the Naryn region;

(ii) the development and holding of the festivals "Kyrgyz Shyrdagy" and "Kymyz Mayramy" at the republican and regional levels, with active marketing abroad;

(iii) the creation of a tourism association for the Naryn region;

(iv) the activation of the tourist information center in the city of Naryn and the promotion of the "Foursquare" program among tourism representatives in the region;

(v) the development of a tourism brand for the Naryn region;

(vi) the strengthening of measures for the safety of tourists in the Naryn region;

At the end of the off-site meeting, a working group will be formed under the Tourism Development Council to implement the above and other tasks set by the Council. It is recommended that the local tourism company "TurNa" (Tourism of Naryn) head the working group.

DSC03208It is worth noting that meetings of the Tourism Development Councils are planned to be held in all 7 regions of the Kyrgyz Republic. The next meeting will take place on March 4, 2014, in the Batken region.
