As part of the order concerning the monitoring of strategic facilities in the region, a working group was established to conduct the second phase of the inspection of the anti-terrorist security of key and social facilities in the Talas Region.
During the first phase of the inspection, attention was focused on civil defense shelters located in the cities and districts of the region. The results showed that most of them do not meet the established requirements: many premises are in unsatisfactory condition and do not comply with sanitary standards.
During the second phase, water supply facilities were inspected. It was found that most water intake and reservoir structures lack video surveillance systems, security, and night lighting. Although the Kirov Reservoir is well guarded, its video monitoring systems require modernization.
