According to the information, the construction of 181 residential houses has been completed in the new village of Zhany Dostuk. Currently, work is ongoing on road construction, building kindergartens and other social facilities, as well as ensuring water supply and landscaping the area.

The representative office also reported that the new houses will be equipped with all necessary amenities. This village is planned to accommodate residents from certain parts of the rural districts of Ak-Tatyr and Samarkandek in the Batken region.

As specified in the release, the construction of 76 residential units in the villages of Razzakov and Maksat for residents of the exchanged territories of the Leilek district is nearly complete. In total, 257 houses are being built in the Batken and Leilek districts.

By September, the bilateral commission completed the inventory of real estate subject to exchange. An act was drawn up for 259 houses in the Batken region and 214 houses in the Sughd region of Tajikistan. Kyrgyzstan will receive more than 300 properties, including social facilities, unoccupied land plots, and premises.

According to official data, the length of the state border between Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan is 1006.84 kilometers. Of these, 519.9 kilometers of the border were defined and approved by government delegations by 2011, while the remaining 486.94 kilometers were marked over the last three years. In March 2025, an agreement was signed that finally defines the border between the two countries, and work is currently underway to demarcate it.
