Atyshov Kobogon (1949), Doctor of Economic Sciences (1992), Professor (1997)Kyrgyz. Born in the village of Kum-Dyube in the Kochkor district of the Naryn region. Graduated from KSU (1971). Worked as a teacher in a secondary school, editor on economics at the Main Editorial Office of the Economic Review, junior, senior, leading, and chief researcher at the Institute of Economics and Political Science of the National Academy of Sciences of the Kyrgyz Republic, and since 1995 - head of the Department of KAA.
Specialist in the field of natural resource economics and regional productive forces development. Academician of the International Public Aitmatov Academy (1994). Published over 80 scientific works, including 6 monographs and 3 textbooks. Under his supervision, 3 candidate dissertations have been defended.
