Attokurov Sabyr (1932), Doctor of Historical Sciences (1969), Professor (1971)Kyrgyz. Born in the village of Kyzyl-Tuu, Jumgal District, Naryn Region. Graduated from the Kyrgyz State Pedagogical Institute (1953), postgraduate studies (1956).
Worked as a teacher, senior teacher, associate professor, dean, head of department, professor at KSU, senior and leading researcher, head of the department at the Institute of History of the National Academy of Sciences of the Kyrgyz Republic, and since 1999 - lecturer at AUK.
Specialist in the history of Kyrgyzstan. Awarded the Honorary Certificate of the Kyrgyz Republic (1998), medal of the Kyrgyz Republic. Honored Worker of Science of the Kyrgyz Republic (2000). Published over 200 scientific works, including 10 monographs. Under his supervision, 6 candidate dissertations have been defended.
