Graduated from the Kyrgyz State Pedagogical Institute (1950), postgraduate studies at KSU (1954).
Worked as a junior and senior researcher, head of the sector at the Institute of History of the Academy of Sciences of the Kyrgyz SSR, rector, professor, head of the department at KJPI, since 1993 - professor, consultant-advisor at KGPU named after I. Arabayev.
Specialist in the history of Kyrgyzstan, the history of the peoples of the Central Asian region, and the former USSR.
Academician of the Russian Academy of Pedagogical and Social Sciences (1998), New York International Academy of Sciences (1999).
Awarded medals of the USSR, Honorary Certificate of the Supreme Soviet of the Kyrgyz SSR (1978).
Honored Worker of Science of the Kyrgyz SSR (1990). Excellent Worker of Education of the USSR (1982).
Under her supervision, 1 doctoral and 13 candidate dissertations have been defended.
Published over 200 scientific works, including 7 monographs.
