Kyrgyz. Born in the village of Joshuq, Kadamjai District, Osh Region.
Graduated from the Moscow Engineering and Construction Institute named after V.V. Kuibyshev (MISI) (1972), postgraduate studies there as well (1977). Worked as an assistant, junior researcher, senior researcher at MISI and the K.D. Panfilov Agricultural Academy of the Russian Federation, teacher, senior teacher, associate professor, head of department, professor, dean of KGUSTA, and since 2000 - rector of Batken State University. Specialist in the field of water supply, wastewater treatment, rational use and protection of water resources, engineering ecology, and environmental protection. Academician of the National Academy of Sciences of the Kyrgyz Republic (2002).
Published over 90 scientific works, including 6 monographs and 6 author certificates. Main works:
