Kyrgyz. Born in the city of Suluktu (Bulak-Bashi) in the Leilek district of the Osh region.
Graduated from KGU (1963), and completed postgraduate studies there (1966).
Worked as a teacher, deputy director of a secondary school, lecturer, senior lecturer, associate professor, professor, head of the department, and dean of KGNU, and since 1997 - dean of the Institute of International Relations and Regional Studies at KGNU.
Specialist in the history of the peoples of Central Asia and Kazakhstan.
Awarded the Honorary Certificate of the Kyrgyz Republic. Honored Worker of Education of the Kyrgyz Republic (1998).
Published over 200 scientific works, including 10 monographs, 20 textbooks, and educational-methodical manuals.
Under his supervision, 1 doctoral and 6 candidate dissertations have been defended.
