The campaign took place in D. Asanov Park at the Southern Gates of Bishkek. The organizer was the State Service for Intellectual Property and Innovations under the Government of the Kyrgyz Republic (Kyrgyzpatent).
"Stop Piracy!" is a traditional campaign conducted by the State Service for Intellectual Property and Innovations under the Government of the Kyrgyz Republic (Kyrgyzpatent) aimed at promoting the ideas of compliance with the legislation of the Kyrgyz Republic in the field of copyright and related rights, the inadmissibility of violating intellectual property rights, protecting the market of licensed products, as well as raising public awareness and forming a negative attitude towards intellectual property piracy.
The event was opened with a welcoming speech by the State Secretary of Kyrgyzpatent, Japar Kul Tashiev.
In his speech, he urged the participants of the campaign to respect the moral and material resources spent by authors in creating their works, which are widely distributed in the counterfeit market due to unscrupulous entrepreneurs. As a result, they do not receive the full amount of compensation for the results of their intellectual activities.
Representatives of ministries and agencies of the Kyrgyz Republic also emphasized the inadmissibility of intellectual property piracy and informed the participants about the measures they are taking to combat the circulation of counterfeit products.
The campaign was accompanied by a concert featuring stars of the domestic stage. The audience enjoyed performances by Gulnur Satylganova, Yulia Rutskaia, Style Mix, Asema, Gulzinat Suranchieva, Aiya Sadyrova, Ilyaz Andash, and Oktom Sapar uulu.
