Turumbekov Askar Asanbekovich

Artist-sculptor. Laureate of the State Prize of the Kyrgyz Republic. Born on June 1, 1967, in the city of Frunze. In 1994, he graduated from the V.I. Surikov Moscow State Academic Art Institute.

Since 1996, he has been a member of the Union of Artists of the Kyrgyz Republic. Most of his works are characterized by the elevation of concept and monumental intent. The monumental compositions created by Turumbekov have organically integrated into the environment of the city of Bishkek, in the Jayil and Kemin districts. In his easel works, he employs techniques of classical metaphor, allegory, and symbolic composition. He is a participant in republican and international exhibitions and symposiums on culture.

His works are housed in the Kyrgyz National Museum of Fine Arts named after G. Aitiev, in private collections in Kyrgyzstan, and in countries near and far abroad.

He was awarded a Diploma from the State Agency for Science and Intellectual Property under the Government of the Kyrgyz Republic (Kyrgyzpatent).
