Azhiev Sadabek Botobekovich
Sculptor. Honored Worker of Culture of the Kyrgyz Republic. Born on December 21, 1953, in the village of Japa-Saldy, Ala-Buka District, Osh Region. In 1976, he graduated from the Frunze Art School, and then in 1985 from the Leningrad Institute of Painting, Sculpture, and Architecture named after I.E. Repin. In 1985-1986, he worked as a sculptor in the Art Fund of the Kyrgyz SSR. Associate Professor of the Sculpture Department at the Academy of Arts of the Kyrgyz Republic.
Author of the memorial complex for the victims of the repressions of the 1930s "Ata-Beyit." In 2000, he was awarded the State Prize in the field of science and technology for his work at the State Museum of Sculpture in the open air, in the center of the capital.
Since 1988, he has been a member of the Union of Artists of the Kyrgyz Republic.
He works in easel and monumental sculpture. Participant in national and international exhibitions. His works are located in the Kyrgyz National Museum of Fine Arts named after G. Aitiev, and his monumental works can be seen in the regions of the republic and the city of Bishkek.
