Poet, translator Abdulkhai Aldashev


Poet and translator A. Aldashev was born in the village of Jety-Oguz in the Jety-Oguz district of the Issyk-Kul region, in the family of a village teacher and poet Aldash Moldo.
He studied at a rural school and a boarding school. In 1939, he graduated from the zooveterinary institute in Frunze and continued his studies in graduate school.
Before the Great Patriotic War, he worked as a teacher at zooveterinary and pedagogical technical schools in the city of Przhevalsk and as a lecturer at the Kyrgyz State Pedagogical Institute in Frunze. A. Aldashev was a participant in the Great Patriotic War.
From 1948 to 1974, he worked at the Kyrgyz State Agricultural Institute named after K. I. Skryabin as head of the department, vice-rector for research, and professor.
In 1953, he defended his dissertation for the degree of candidate, and in 1965, he became a doctor of veterinary sciences. In 1966, he was approved as a professor of pharmacology and pathophysiology.
From 1974 to 1980, he served as the director of the Biology Institute of the Academy of Sciences of the Kyrgyz SSR, and from 1980, he was the head of the pharmacology laboratory at the Institute of Organic Chemistry of the Academy of Sciences of the Kyrgyz SSR, and from 1985, he was the head of the laboratory at the Research Institute of Veterinary Medicine of the State Agro-Industrial Complex of the Kyrgyz SSR.
His creative biography in literature began in 1938 with the translation into Kyrgyz of V. Kataev's novella "I Am the Son of the Working People." A. Aldashev is one of the recognized translators of artistic prose and poetry into Kyrgyz, and he actively works on the interlinear translation into Russian of the epic trilogy "Manas." He has completed artistic translations from Kyrgyz of works by A. Tokombaev, A. Osmonov, A. Toktomushev, and others.
A. Aldashev conducts extensive scientific and educational work at the university. He is the author of over 200 scientific works, including more than 15 monographs, textbooks, and guides that have significant scientific and practical value. He has created dictionaries of Russian-Kyrgyz terms in biology, zoology, animal husbandry, and veterinary medicine, which have served as the basis for writing original and translated special literature and textbooks in Kyrgyz.
He is a Honored Veterinarian of the Kyrgyz SSR (1974).
A member of the Communist Party of the Soviet Union since 1950, a member of the Union of Writers of the USSR since 1956.
He has been awarded two Orders of the Patriotic War of the I and II degrees, the Order of the Red Star, two Orders of the Badge of Honor, and medals "For Victory over Germany in the Great Patriotic War 1941-1945," "For the Liberation of Warsaw," "For the Capture of Berlin," "20 Years of Victory over Germany in the Great Patriotic War 1941-1945," "30 Years of Victory over Germany in the Great Patriotic War 1941-1945," "40 Years of Victory over Germany in the Great Patriotic War 1941-1945," "For Diligent Labor. In Commemoration of the 100th Anniversary of the Birth of V. I. Lenin," "Veteran of Labor," three silver medals of VDNH of the USSR, and Honorary Certificates from the Supreme Soviet of the Kyrgyz SSR.
