On the second day of the exercises, a simulation of an ammonia leak occurred in the chemical workshop.

Command-staff exercises were held in Bishkek as part of the civil defense training program of the Kyrgyz Republic.

According to the press service of the city administration, on the second day of the exercises, a simulation of an ammonia leak took place in the chemical workshop area. The main objective of the exercises was to practice the actions of the CHPP staff and emergency services in case of emergency situations related to the release of hazardous chemicals.

During the practical part of the exercises, the station employees followed this action algorithm upon detecting a leak:

- prompt notification of civil defense services;
- evacuation of workers from the potentially dangerous area;
- localization and elimination of the consequences of the simulated accident;
- providing first aid to the injured.

The city administration noted that such exercises play an important role in testing the readiness of personnel and emergency services to act in case of emergencies, as well as contributing to increasing the level of safety at strategically important facilities in the capital.
